ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION

At Greenbite, we develop sustainable solutions that encourage low-waste, nutrient-dense cooking and convert food waste into natural fertilizers and creative reuse.

Our youth-led project aims to improve nutrition, decrease waste, and encourage eco-conscious living by collaborating with nearby farms, restaurants, and educational institutions. We think nothing consumable should go to waste, from creating pet-safe supplements to improving soil and encouraging smarter cooking.

ABOUT US

We are a youth-led project that is revolutionizing the way that communities prepare, consume, and recycle food waste. We encourage sustainable living without compromising functionality or health by converting waste into high-impact products like compost, pet-safe supplements, or nutrient-rich meals, especially for athletes who want to recover, feel, and perform great!

 

Four important UN Sustainable Development Goals are supported by our mission:

  • Good Health & Well-Being: We teach how to feed the body with reasonably priced, well-balanced, and performance-boosting meals.

  • Responsible Production & Consumption: By implementing more intelligent planning, storage, and reuse strategies, we contribute to a decrease in food waste.

  • Life on Land: Our composting initiatives improve the soil that is utilized in nearby farms, school plots, and gardens.

  • Climate Action: Reducing food waste helps combat one of the main causes of climate change by reducing methane emissions.

OUR SERVICES

SUSTAINABLE COOKING WORKSHOPS

We provide engaging workshops that teach people how to prepare meals with seasonal, locally available ingredients that are low-waste, inexpensive, and healthful.

FOOD WASTE COLLECTION

To gather food waste and leftovers that can be safely turned into organic fertilizer or utilized for composting demonstrations, we collaborate with nearby restaurants, homes, and schools.

FERTILIZER PRODUCTION AND
DISTRIBUTION

We turn collected food waste into nutrient-rich, chemical-free fertilizer or creatively repurpose it into animal food, which we then donate to eco-farms, community gardens, and school planting initiatives.

Meet The Team

The Duo Turning Scraps Into Solutions

Chanseo Kim and Alex Ryu Kudo are high school students at Yokohama International School, who are passionate about food, sustainability, and community impact. What began as a local initiative to cut down on waste at home has expanded into a student-led project that is reevaluating our methods of cooking, eating, and composting.

They incorporate every project with creativity, energy, and tangible change, all motivated by fascination, teamwork, and a desire to make environmentally conscious living accessible to all. This group demonstrates that age is not a barrier to change, whether it is through sustainable food workshops or converting eggshells into calcium boosters that are safe fertilizers for plants.
