Honestly, we were a little nervous walking in—we weren’t sure how the seniors and caretakers would react to candles made from repurposed coffee scraps , but YIS's SWAT (Senior Well-being Assistant Team) made the process very smooth for us. On Monday, we were able to collect a massive 1.781 kilograms of vegetable food scraps. We know this may not seem like much, but each collection adds up to a larger number of CO2 emissions prevented. This was then dried and turned into fertilizers which will be distributed to the local farms in Hodogaya. Thank you, Dragon Dining, for this continued support!
