🌾 Visiting Local Farms in Hodogaya-ku – August 20 & 26, 2025

In order to give away the fertilizers and candles we had made from food scraps, we went to two farms in Hodogaya-ku on August 20 and 26. We also conducted interviews with the farmers during our visits to learn more about their current circumstances, fertilizer usage, and general farming methods. According to them, many local farms are experiencing a sort of economic crisis as a result of the recent spike in fertilizer prices, which has put them under a lot of financial strain.

Pointing out that even small donations can help offset some of their expenses, great appreciation was shown by the farmers for the products we have made. Moreover, they were genuinely very happy for our willingness to hear about their struggles and experiences. They said that knowing that there are people who are concerned about the difficulties farmers face and who wish to provide them with useful support meant a lot to them.
