On July 8th, 2025, we visited Under Bluff Coffee, a local cafe in Honmoku streets known for its warm atmosphere and unique layout. As part of our sustainability project and initiative, we collected their used coffee grounds to repurpose them into natural fertilizer.
As processed coffee grounds are high in nitrogen and other nutrients, they are an environmentally responsible method of improving soil for growing crops and cutting down on potential waste. Although this is a small impact, little by little, we are making significant progress toward a more sustainable future by collaborating with cafes like Under Bluff.
We bought their famous banana bread as a thanks for their hospitality and support, which was a delightful gesture. We greatly thank local cafes that are eager to work with us and change the world.
